That’s why you have various opportunities to start your career at Erste Asset Management. Here you’ll find some typical entry points, what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.
Summer internship
Our summer internship is aimed at motivated students. During the summer break, you can gain your first professional experience with Austria’s leading asset manager. You’ll get to know everyday working life, take on responsibility, and build a wide network of contacts. Even the executive board and second-level management take time for a conversation, giving you insights into the company and their career paths.
The summer internship is available during July, August, and September. It lasts a minimum of two months, preferably three months. You can work in any department of Erste Asset Management. The application process for summer internships begins in December of the previous year. We look forward to your support!

Mandatory internship
You are required to complete a 6-month mandatory internship or want to gain work experience during or after your studies and take the first step into your career? Junior
Would you like to start your career at Erste Asset Management? Are you looking to grow, be supported and challenged? We are always looking for exceptional young talents with relevant education, internships, or initial work experience who bring fresh perspectives, commitment, and new ideas to our team.
Work experience: 0–2 years
Specialist
Do you have experience in the financial industry and are looking for new challenges at Erste Asset Management? As a specialist, you can make excellent use of the knowledge gained through your professional experience. Get actively involved with us. Help shape processes and take on responsibility. You can work on your own product or contribute to projects. We look forward to offering you new challenges.
Work experience: minimum 3 years
Senior
Would you like to improve financial processes and implement new strategies? As a senior at Erste Asset Management, you bring extensive experience and comprehensive knowledge. Your tasks include planning, developing strategies and concepts. You help shape methods and standards. You present new solution approaches.
Work experience: minimum 5 years
Management position
Would you like to help shape the future of Erste Asset Management in a leadership role? We expect a high level of entrepreneurial thinking, customer orientation, a broad perspective, and strong communication skills from our management team. Act as a role model and coach for your team and contribute to the strategic development of Erste Asset Management.
Work experience: minimum 7 years
Leadership experience: minimum 2 years
